Lenten Message

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." -Romans 12:12 (NIV)

Easter is only a few weeks away, and that time of year is upon us when we further devote ourselves to seeking Christ through prayer, fasting, and the contemplation of scripture. 

It's called Lent, the 40-day period of reflection that mirrors Jesus' time of preparation in the wilderness, deepening our relationship with our Lord through prayer and fasting. 

As we set aside some of our worldly distractions to focus on Jesus, let us always be reminded of the unmerited gift of salvation we have all received and be ever thankful.
