VISION REBORN UNIVERSITY

An NCCA Certified Academic Institution

Vision Reborn CAI: A Ministry Born Through Brokenness, Built for Restoration

My name is Dr. Samuel Said, and I am honored to share the story and mission of Vision Reborn University, a Certified Academic Institution through the NCCA. My life has been shaped by God’s grace, higher education, ministry, counseling, and a deep burden to see broken lives restored through biblical truth and practical equipping.

I hold six degrees in the fields of Computer Science, Theology, Education, and Counseling. For many years, I have served as a higher education professor, director of education, Christian counselor, theologian, and ministry leader. Yet, before Vision Reborn became a counseling center, university, or training institution, it began as a testimony of survival, healing, and calling.

I was born in Nazareth and grew up in Galilee, Israel. The roots of my faith were formed in the land where Jesus walked, taught, healed, and transformed lives. I later lived much of my life as a sent missionary from Kfar-Yassif Baptist Church, ministering in Israel, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Those years gave me a deep love for people, cultures, churches, and the brokenhearted. They also taught me that people everywhere, regardless of background, education, or position, need hope, healing, truth, and restoration.

Vision Reborn was born out of hardship. At the age of 27, I suffered a serious back and head injury that resulted in 85% memory loss. My life changed completely. What I once knew, I had to fight to regain. What I once could do easily became a painful journey of rebuilding. Yet through that season, God did not abandon me. He used my brokenness as a classroom, my pain as preparation, and my recovery as a ministry seed. With the help of God, perseverance, education, and faith, I rebuilt my life and discovered a greater compassion for those who feel lost, wounded, confused, or forgotten.

That hardship became the birthplace of Vision Reborn.

Vision Reborn began with my wife, Connie Said, and me. Together, we stepped forward with a burden to help people find healing, identity, purpose, and spiritual renewal. Our ministry began with counseling services, but the vision continued to grow. We saw that people did not only need help for their pain; they also needed biblical understanding, practical tools, and trained leaders who could minister to others with wisdom and compassion.

Today, Vision Reborn is located in Nederland, Texas, but our reach extends throughout the United States. Through in-person and online services, we provide Christian counseling, temperament counseling, biblical guidance, leadership support, and educational training. We have counseled individuals, families, married couples, pastors, and ministry leaders. We have also helped address church leadership conflicts, walking with leaders through difficult situations with biblical wisdom, counseling insight, and a heart for reconciliation.

At Vision Reborn, we believe counseling and education belong together. Counseling helps people heal, but education helps people grow, lead, and serve. This is why Vision Reborn University was established. The university became a natural extension of the counseling ministry. As we listened to the needs of people, churches, and leaders, we realized there was a great need for biblically grounded counselors, theologians, and Christian leaders who could serve with knowledge, maturity, and spiritual sensitivity.

As a Certified Academic Institution through the NCCA, Vision Reborn University teaches Counseling and Theology from certification programs through the Ph.D. level. Our desire is to equip students not only with information but with transformation. We want our students to understand people, recognize emotional and spiritual needs, apply biblical truth, and minister with compassion. We are committed to helping students become effective servants who can counsel, teach, encourage, and guide others through life’s challenges.

Our vision for education is continuing to expand. We are working toward starting an ESL program to serve those who need English language support, and we also desire to help children strengthen their reading and writing skills. We believe education is one of the greatest tools of restoration because it opens doors, builds confidence, develops communication, and gives people the ability to move forward with dignity and purpose. Whether we are training counselors, teaching theology, helping someone learn English, or supporting children in literacy, our goal remains the same: to build lives that are prepared, strengthened, and transformed.

Vision Reborn also provides Bible studies for men and women. These studies are designed to unify biblical understanding with real-life counseling issues. We believe the Word of God speaks to the whole person: spirit, soul, mind, emotions, relationships, decisions, and purpose. Through these studies, we help people connect Scripture to their life journey so they can grow in faith, wisdom, emotional strength, and spiritual maturity.

We do not belong to any denomination. Our heart is not to build a denominational platform but to build God’s kingdom. We serve people from many church backgrounds and walks of life. Our mission is centered on Christ, biblical truth, restoration, discipleship, and the healing power of God.

One of the greatest achievements we have seen at Vision Reborn is not measured by numbers, programs, or titles. It is seeing salvation take place in our facility. When a broken person finds Christ, when a wounded heart discovers hope, when a family begins to heal, or when a leader is restored, we are reminded why Vision Reborn exists.

I have a heart for the broken and the lost because I know what it means to be broken. I know what it means to fight for restoration. I know what it means to depend on God when human strength is not enough. Vision Reborn is more than a ministry name; it is a testimony. It is the message that God can take what was injured, forgotten, wounded, and limited, and breathe new life into it.

Our vision continues to grow. From counseling services to Vision Reborn University, from Bible studies to leadership restoration, from Nederland, Texas, to communities across the United States, we are committed to helping people experience healing, training, purpose, and transformation.

Vision Reborn exists because God still restores, still calls, still heals, and still uses broken vessels for His glory.
