KATHLEEN W.
PETERSON PH.D.

Born and reared in the Republic of Panama, Dr. Kathleen Willey Peterson is the daughter and granddaughter of American missionaries to Panama and Cuba. 

 

Dr. Peterson has a bachelor's degree in Social Work. She has a Ph. D in Clinical Christian Counseling and is a clinical supervisor with the NCCA.

Dr. Peterson has been in full time ministry since 1987. She worked as a Youth Pastor (10 years), and Worship Arts producer and director (18 years). For 28 years, Kathleen was a Bible Study instructor at her local

church. In 1999 she, together with her husband Mark Peterson, founded Aaron & Hur International Ministries, Inc, a ministry dedicated to strengthening, equipping and restoring missionaries, pastors and men and women in full-time Christian service.  Aaron & Hur International Ministries, Inc has teams in the USA, Cuba, Colombia, Brazil and Bolivia. Since 1999 she and her team have provided counseling and training to Christian leaders and their families in over 18 countries around the world.

 

Kathleen is the clinical supervisor of the Aaron & Hur School of Counseling, a training program certified by the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA). She is a conference and workshop speaker. She has taught intensives at seminaries in various countries around the world, teaching on various themes including but not limited to, temperament, Christian counseling, the emotional health of the pastoral family and much more. Kathleen and her team’s flagship course, Original Design: A transformational study of temperament, has been presented to over 3000 people in English, Spanish and Portuguese.  

 

Kathleen has been married to Mark Peterson since 1984. They have two daughters, Anna Peterson Sarmiento and Lauren Peterson Good, both of whom are in full-time Christian ministry. 

 

Her greatest ministerial passion is to see Christian leaders spiritually and emotionally healthy, living in full maturity in Christ, empowered to serve others for the glory of God.
